History

The Basilica of the Little Flower in Royal Oak was built in the mid-20th century. It is one of two national shrines dedicated to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux in the United States (the other is in San Antonio). Designated a minor basilica in 2014, it is a major center of devotion in the Detroit metropolitan area.
