The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist was built between 1873 and 1896 in the Gothic Revival style. It is the seat of the Diocese of Savannah, which covers the southern half of Georgia. Designated a minor basilica in 2020, it is one of the most iconic buildings in Savannah's historic downtown.
