Four girls saw the Virgin between 1961 and 1965.
Entre junio de 1961 y noviembre de 1965, cuatro niñas de Garabandal (Jacinta, Mari Loli, Mari Lúcia y Mari Cruz) reportaron múltiples apariciones de la Virgen María y de San Miguel Arcángel. La Virgen les anunció dos eventos futuros: un «aviso» (un castigo global) y una «advertencia» (un evento sobrenatural que verán todos los hombres del mundo).
The Virgin presented herself as Our Lady of Mount Carmel and told them to pray much the Rosary and to make sacrifices for sinners. He also predicted that a permanent miracle would be performed in Garabandal that would be visible and verifiable by all.
The apparitions were never approved by the Church, although the local bishop recognized that there was nothing contrary to faith in the messages. The seers have kept their testimony over the years.
