Two shepherds saw the Virgin crying in 1846.
On September 19, 1846, two 11 and 14-year-old shepherds saw a brilliant woman sitting on a rock, crying. The Virgin entrusted them with a secret about the conversion of the world and asked them to pray the Rosary and make sacrifices.
La Virgen les dijo: «Si mi pueblo no quiere someterse, me veré obligada a dejar libre el brazo de mi Hijo. Es tan fuerte, tan grande el brazo de mi Hijo, que no puedo contenerlo ya más.»
The apparitions were approved by the bishop of Grenoble in 1851. The shrine of La Salette receives millions of pilgrims each year.
