The Virgin appeared on the Coptic church for 3 years.
Between 1968 and 1971, the Virgin Mary appeared on the Coptic Church of Santa Maria in Zeitoun, Cairo. The apparitions were seen by millions of people, including President Nasser.
The Virgin appeared as a luminous figure, sometimes with doves around her. The police investigations found no explanation for the phenomenon.
The Coptic Orthodox Church approved the apparitions in 1968. The sanctuary of Zeitoun receives pilgrims from all over the world.
