The image and the sanctuary

The church, in the Neo-Gothic style, has undergone significant restorations in the 20th and 21st centuries. No extraordinary stories associated with the main image appear in the sources consulted; devotion is centered on the dogmatic figure of Mary conceived without sin.

Celebration and devotion

The main celebration is on December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated with a solemn mass presided over by the archbishop, an internal procession and, on occasion, cultural activities.

Link with the Rosary

The Immaculate Conception is contemplated in the Rosary as the dawn of Redemption, full of grace and preserved from sin from her conception. Praying the Rosary under this title is to honor the Mother who said "yes" to God from the first moment of her existence.
