An image appeared carved on the rock of a cannon, in an almost inaccessible place.
In 1760, an indigenous named Juan Santos took his sick wife to the city. On the way, the woman was so sick that Juan Santos left her by a rock and went to get help.
When he returned, his wife was healthy and praying at a picture of the Virgin who had appeared carved on the rock. In the same place a water spring sprout.
Today, on that 100-meter-deep cannon, a stone basilica was built that seems to float in the air. It is one of the most impressive shrines in South America.
