A parish born in 1979
The community was erected 19 September 1979. Its location in Deoksan- myeon places it outside the large metropolitan concentrations and recalls the Catholic presence in villages and rural areas of Korea.

What the Assumption confesses

August 15 in Korea
The Solemnity of the Assumption coincides with Gwangbokjeolthe day Korea commemorates its release. During his visit to the country in 2014, Pope Francis linked the Marian celebration to the historical experience of the Korean people.
Christian freedom does not end as an external oppression disappears. It is able to serve, seek justice and build a reconciled society.
