A general title preserved with fidelity
The directory of the Korean Episcopal Conference records Sophia Lynn, the Blessed Virgin Mary, as patronage of Sinbuk. It does not add Rosario, Fatima, Immaculate Conception or other qualifier.
This page does not, therefore, make a more concrete apvocation. The general form is a legitimate and sufficiently precise Marian identity when it is linked to the temple and its locality.
The date of foundation
The episcopal source and an updated Catholic directory record the 27 August 2007. A secondary photographic chronicle gives on August 23.
The official date of 27 is adopted. The difference of four days could correspond to different acts, but no source consulted explains it; there is no conjecture as a fact.

Sinbuk-myeon is part of an agricultural territory in Yeongam County. The parish offers a stable meeting point in an area of scattered populations.
The page avoids attributing specific crops, parties or parish activities without documentation. Its rural context does help to understand the importance of distances, transport and ageing.
The data of the faithful requires caution
The episcopal record currently shows "0" in the field of number of faithful. This value does not show that the parish has no community, as it retains a priest, telephone and public celebrations.

The old linked stations
A 2024 source mentions Sijong and Dopo as dependent stations. The current episcopal directory, on the other hand, shows zero stations.
