An officially confirmed dedication
The directory of the Episcopal Conference of Korea expressly identifies the patronage of Songseo as the Heart of the Virgin without blemish. It also confirms the direction, the diocese and the date of establishment.
The usual Spanish expression is Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Korean name is retained to make the correspondence with the original record visible.
The beginning of the community
The episcopal directory 4 March 1982 as the date of establishment. A historical chronicle of the diocese of Suwon places the 12 March 1982 the separation from the parish of Songtan, with three sectors and a chapel, and then records 1,280 faithful.
The two dates are offered with their attribution because they probably describe near administrative milestones, but the sources consulted do not expressly explain the difference. It would not be rigorous to choose one and hide the other.
The building of the temple
The diocesan chronicle states that the first stone was placed on 18 July 1982 and that the temple was consecrated on 19 September 1987.
These data allow to follow the material growth of the community without making the building the center of devotion: the believing heart is formed in the Word, the sacraments and charity.
The heart in Scripture
In the Bible, the heart expresses the deep center of the person: there it is remembered, discerned, chosen and loved. The Gospels present Mary by keeping and meditating in her heart what happens around Jesus.
His memory is not mere accumulation of facts. It is a patient listening that relates difficult events to God's faithfulness and is ready to respond.
A heart through
Simeon's prophecy announces that a sword will pass through Mary's soul. Tradition in it is the pain of a mother attached to the mission of her Son.
The immaculate heart is not a heart protected from every wound. It is a heart that, sustained by grace, does not allow suffering to have the last word or be transformed into hatred.
Immaculate by grace
The holiness of Mary comes from God. He does not express proud superiority or distance to those who need mercy, but a full readiness to welcome and fulfill his will.
To contemplate your heart moves to ask for cleansing of intention, truth in the relationships and consistency between prayer, work and service to others.
Always Christ-oriented
La exhortación Signum Magnum of Saint Paul VI presents devotion to Mary within the imitation of her virtues and her union with Christ. The Mother never replaces the Son: she leads to Him.
Therefore, to venerate his Heart means to learn his faith, hope and charity, and to receive from Jesus the strength to love in a concrete way.
Lycúrgical memory
The Directory on popular piety recalls the deep relationship between the Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The liturgical memory of the latter is celebrated on the Saturday following the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.
The closeness of both celebrations helps to avoid an isolated devotion: Mary's maternal love is understood in the light of Christ's redeeming love.
A call to repair
Christian reparation is not to seek guilty or to feed fear. It begins by recognizing one's own sin, asking for forgiveness and repairing as much as possible the damage caused.
In a parish community, it can take the form of reconciliation, protection of vulnerable persons, listening to victims and persevering commitment to the truth.
Religious presence and service
The official directory records the Sisters of Saint Paul of Chartres in the parish. The data confirms a presence of consecrated life, although it does not allow to attribute specific activities without additional documentation.
The tab avoids turning an institutional data into an imagined chronicle. It recognizes with gratitude the religious vocation and leaves open future enlargements based on verifiable sources.
verified location for the map
The episcopal direction is 40 Snense-ro, Pyeonteek. The nominal mapping of the parish building in 37.0729259, 127.0489548.

To visit and pray
The parish is active, but the hours and those responsible may vary. Before moving it is appropriate to confirm them in the official directory and to respect the celebrations and the ordinary life of the community.
He can pray for those who keep painful memories, for the Pyeongtaek families and for the reconciliation of the Korean peninsula, accompanying prayer with a real gesture of listening or reparation.
Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Songseus
Mary, Mother of an immaculate heart, keeps the community of Songseo and the families of Pyeongtaek. Teach us to listen to the Word, to preserve the truth with humility and to respond to pain with mercy. It purifies our intentions, accompanies those who carry hidden wounds and intercede for reconciliation and peace in Korea. Always lead us to Jesus Christ. Amen.
