Marian devotion

An expressly documented patronage

The title does not come from confusing the name of a parish group with the dedication of the temple. It is found in the official field of patronage and is preserved with its own sense.
A parish since 2008
The community was erected 14 January 2008. It belongs to the diocese of Incheon, within the first pastoral district of Bucheon.
Old commercial directories still place the parish in the basement of an apartment building. This reference corresponds to a previous stage and should not be used for the current visit.
The address in force
The present episcopal source identifies the temple in 9 Gyegin-ro 19beon-gil. The marker on this page has been placed on that building, not in the old temporary place.
Keeping both stages helps to understand history without confusing the visitor: many young communities start in borrowed spaces before having a stable temple.
The meaning of Stella Maris
Stella Maris means "Star of the Sea." St. John Paul II recalled that it has long been the preferred title with which the people of the sea invoke the protection of the Virgin.
