A title confirmed by the episcopal directory
The Episcopal Conference of Korea expressly records SkillsMother of the Saviour, as patronage of Seosin- dong. The same fact sheet confirms its direction, founding date and belonging to the diocese of Jeonju.
The 2016 diocesan newsletter reidentifies the patron with this title, so it does not depend on an isolated translation.
A parish since 1988
Seosin- dong was erected the 21 January 1988. The directory points to Supjeongi as a mother parish, a fact that retains the historical relationship between the two communities.
It was born during the urban expansion of Jeonju. This fact sheet does not attribute intermediate stages that are not documented by the sources consulted.
Mary is Mother of the Saviour
The title above all affirms the identity of Jesus. Mary is not the source of salvation: she is the mother of the saved, the incarnate Word.
In the Annunciation he receives the mission of giving birth to the Son of God. In Cana he leads to listen to him and, by the cross, he remains united to his redeeming delivery.
A Maternity Oriented to Christ
St. John Paul II explained in Redemptoris Mater that the motherhood of Mary is understood within the mystery of Christ and the Church.

On August 4, 2024, Bishop John Kim Son@-@ tae blessed the new educational centre and the priestly and religious residences.
The diocese describes the educational center as a three-storey building and 998 m ², intended for community union and spiritual formation. The integrated residence has two floors and 376 m ².
Building community, not just buildings
During the blessing, the bishop thanked the material and spiritual collaboration of the faithful and asked to face every task with firm trust in God.
The buildings provide catechesis, meetings and service, but they only serve their purpose when they help to grow in communion, responsibility and care for the most vulnerable.

The Jeonju newsletter of 3 November 2024 presented Seosin-dong, his pastoral team and community representatives. It is a recent confirmation of his ecclesial life.
