Deonjisil was erected 13 February 1992. It is located in a rural area belonging to Anseong, within Gyeonggi-do.

Why Mary is called Queen
The title of Queen comes from Mary's unique relationship with Jesus Christ, king and servant. His royalty is neither political domain nor distant privilege: he participates in the evangelical logic of service.
Mary appears in the Gospel listening, accompanying and remaining by the cross. To call her Queen of Peace means to ask that such maternal availability help the disciples to follow the Prince of Peace.

A community cannot call for national reconciliation and neglect its own divisions. Peace is learned by listening before judging, repairing an offense and avoiding words that humiliate.
It is also built by accompanying solitude, by mediating with caution in conflicts and protecting those who suffer violence. Prayer offers strength to take on these tasks.
The field as a school of patience
The rural environment recalls that a harvest does not appear immediately. Preparing the earth, sowing and waiting are suitable images for a peace that needs perseverance.
Small gestures may seem insufficient, but they create conditions for a different future. Mary kept the Word for years before accompanying her Son's public mission.
