Queen of those who followed Christ
The Korean Expression All adults literally means "Queen of All Saints." It does not designate a different saint or a collective figure: it is a Marian title that contemplates the Mother of Christ in communion with all the redeemed.
Mary is called Queen for her unique union with Jesus Christ, King of the universe, and for her maternal service to the people of God. His royalty is not dominion, wealth or privilege, but obedience, intercession and surrender.
A parish erected in 1939
The Korean Episcopal Conference documents the foundation of the parish on June 24, 1939 and confirms its patronage. The community belongs to the diocese of Daejeon and gives name to the pastoral district of Dangjin.
The directory also records four missile stations. This network recalls how faith spread through villages and homes before and after stable parish temples existed.
Naepo, land of faith and martyrdom
Dangjin is part of the former Naepo region in the northwest of Chungcheong. Here Catholicism soon took root through lay communities and was preserved in the midst of successive persecutions.
The city houses Solmoe, a native place of St. Andrew Kim Tae- gon, the first Korean priest, whose family counted four generations of martyrs. Other places linked to those who suffered by faith are also found in the region.
Mary and the crown of the martyrs
In Christian language, the crown of the saints represents the victory received from Christ after a faithful life. The Korean martyrs did not seek death: they remained united to the Gospel when they were required to renounce it.
To call upon Mary here as Queen of All Saints unites local memory to the universal Church. She, who remained next to the Cross, accompanies those who suffer persecution and is happy with the crowd who participate in the victory of her Son.

Pius XII explained that Mary's regal dignity is inseparable from her motherhood and cooperation in the work of Christ. The Church comes to her as a merciful and intercessor Mother.
For Dangjin, this title invites the recognition of holiness not only in great historical figures, but in the daily fidelity of families, catechists, sick, religious and lay people who support the life of the community.
The communion of the saints
The communion of the saints unites the pilgrim Church, those who purify themselves and those who already contemplate God. The parish does not walk in isolation: it receives the prayer and the example of a crowd that precedes it.
