Una comunidad nacida de Cheonho-dong
Gildong was created in 1985 when he separated from the parish of Cheonho-dong. At first, the faithful of Gildong and part of Myeongil@-@ dong celebrated in rented premises. The community grew up while preparing a stable temple.
The works began in 1987 and the new building was blessed in May 1991 at a celebration presided over by Cardinal Stephen Kim Sou@-@ hwan. After a remodeling, it was again dedicated in December 2016 by Cardinal Andrew Yeom Soo- jung.
The choice of a mother's employer
The parish does not present its patronage as a decorative label. His official history states that he chose Mary's Nativity to embrace the wounded people of the local community and share love with the neighbors, as a mother.
The first mass in the provisional temple was held in September, the month of the patron's feast. From the beginning the birth of the community and the liturgical memory of the birth of Mary were thus united.
