A commitment confirmed by the Korean Church
The Episcopal Conference of Korea records Our Lady of Fatima as patron of Buk-dong and expressly points to her status as a cathedral. The fact sheet also confirms the founding date and address.
The name "concatedral" indicates that it shares a cathedral function within the archdiocese. It does not turn the place into a sanctuary of apparitions.
A community founded in 1933
The parish of Buk-dong was erected the 29 May 1933. Its trajectory goes through much of the contemporary history of the Church in south-west Korea.
