Marian devotion
In Buk-gu, north of Busan, the parish of Daecheon to Mary as Our Lady of Grace. This relatively young community recalls with its patronage that all Christian life is born of the free gift of God and leads to Jesus Christ.

The official directory of the Korean Episcopal Conference expressly identifies patronage as The Holy SpiritOur Lady of Grace. It also records the foundation, direction and belonging to the diocese of Busan.
The fact sheet documents a parish advocation. It does not attribute to Daecheon an apparition, a miracle or the condition of sanctuary; out of respect for the truth, this page does not do so either.
A community founded in 2004
The parish was erected 27 December 2004within the liturgical time of Christmas. It is located in the district of Buk-gu, in the urban corridor following Geumgok-daero to the north of the great port city.
The episcopal directory accounts for a large community, although pastoral figures may change. The stable and relevant to this advocation is the Marian dedication that has been maintained since its foundation.
«Llena de gracia»
The angel's greeting to Mary announces that it has been filled by God's favor. Grace is not an anonymous force that Mary has for herself: it is God's free gift that prepares her to receive the Son and respond freely with his faith.
John Paul II explained that the evangelical expression manifests the transformative action of grace in Mary. His greatness comes from God and his answer does not retain the gift, but turns it into availability and service.
Mary does not replace Christ
The Church teaches that Mary's maternal mission depends entirely on the unique mediation of Jesus Christ. When the faithful invoke it under titles related to grace, they do not place a second source with God.
Mary intercedes as a mother and leads to the one Saviour. In Cana he does not draw attention to himself: he points to Jesus and asks that whatever he says be done.
Free in a big city
Busan is a metropolis marked by movement, work and competition. The name of the parish recalls that a person's dignity does not depend on his productivity, success and economic capacity.
To receive grace leads to another look at the neighbor, the migrant, the old man and the one who feels ruled out. What received for free becomes hospitality, forgiveness and service without calculation.
A spirituality for everyday life
Devotion can be lived by giving thanks at the beginning of the day, reading the Gospel of the Annunciation and offering a work of mercy without waiting for recognition. The Rosary allows us to contemplate how the gift of God is fruitful in the concrete life of Mary.
It also invites you to ask for the grace of resigning. Mercy does not deny responsibility for the damage committed, but it opens a path of conversion, repair and new life.

To visit and pray
Whoever visits Daecheon can pray the first joyful mystery, thanking Mary's "yes," and entrust those who need to discover that her life has value even in the midst of tiredness or failure.
The parish is first and foremost the home of a local community. The visit must respect the celebrations, silence and pastoral indications of the place.

St. Mary, full of grace, keeps the parish of Daecheon and the families of the north of Busan. Teach us to receive with humility the gifts of God, to share them without interest and to recognize the dignity of those who live by our side. Intercede for the peace of Korea and always give us your Son Jesus Christ, the source of all grace. Amen.
