Marian devotion
Our Lady of Charity of the Copper
Santiago de Cuba, Cuba
The Virgin of Charity of the Cobre is patron of Cuba. Three fishermen found her at sea.

In 1612, three fishermen - two Indians and one nigger - went fishing to Nipe Bay. In the middle of a storm, they saw a picture of the Virgin floating on a wooden board. They took her to the ground and put her in a hermitage.
