The image and the sanctuary
There is no sanctuary, Marian chapel, venerated image or local advocation of the Virgin with a documented cult in Bhutan. If there is any Marian devotion among isolated Catholics, it is lived domestic and not documented in the sources consulted.
Sponsorship and coronation
There is no Marian patronage or coronation of any advocation in the country.
Party and devotion
There is no public Marian party or pilgrimage. The only story with a human face collected in the sources is that of Father Kinley Tshering, presented as the first priest born in Bhutan, linked to a providential encounter with Mother Teresa; it belongs, however, to his vocational history and not to a local Marian devotion.
Link to the Rosary
There is no public rosarian tradition in Bhutan. The prayer of the rosary, if practiced, is reserved to the private and discreet environment of the tiny Catholic community, without public demonstration or recognition.
A flower for the Virgin
It offers a simple prayer to this advocation. Pray a Hail Mary for Bhutan and the peace of the world.
