History of the sanctuary
The Miracle Medal was revealed by the Virgin Mary to Saint Catherine Labouré in Paris in 1830. The Vincentian Fathers took devotion to the United States.
The Perryville shrine houses a replica of the chapel of the Rue du Bac in Paris, where the Virgin appeared to Saint Catherine.
