Marian devotion
The miracle that Lucia never told
Fatima, Portugal
Lucia kept a secret of a personal miracle that she only revealed in her memoirs.
Main data
Sanctuary: Fatima, Portugal
Type: Devotional anecdote
Lucia said that once, being very ill, the Virgin appeared in her convent room. Lucia could not move, but the Virgin touched her on her forehead and her whole illness disappeared. Lucia never told this publicly because she didn't want people to venerate her instead of the Virgin.
«Los milagros son para Dios, no para que los cuente», decía Lucía.
