Every May, millions of pilgrims walk from Manila to Antipolo to venerate the Virgin. The pilgrimage is one of the largest in Asia.
Tradition tells that the Virgin protected Filipinos during World War II. The faithful believe that the Virgin guides and protects them on their travels.
