Apparition approved. The Virgin cried before two shepherds and predicted punishment.
On September 19, 1846, two shepherds aged 15 and 11 saw a brilliant woman sitting on a rock, crying. The Virgin told them she was crying for the world's wickedness.
He asked them to pray, do penance and spread their message. He predicted punishment if people didn't change. The following winter was one of the hardest in France's history.
In 1851, the Bishop of Grenoble approved the apparition. Pope Pius IX approved devotion.
