The Khosis of Meghalaya tell us that the Virgin of Lourdes appeared in a cave of the hills, just like in France. The elders say that when it rains a lot (and in Meghalaya it rains a lot), the Virgin protects those in the cave. Every February 11, thousands of pilgrims go up to the cave to pray.
