The image and the sanctuary

The temple is dedicated to the Immaculate Virgin. Local piety focuses on this advocation, with processions and mass participation in the ninth and in May, according to reports from Catholic media. There is no concrete image with unique veneration beyond the immaculist title.

The Immaculate Conception is the head of the parish. No canonical coronation.

Party and devotion

The main feast is December 8, solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. The faithful of Rakovski are distinguished by an intense Marian devotion inherited familiarily, with houses that retain small domestic altars with images of the Immaculate, according to missionary chronicles and Catholic press.

Rakovski's Marian devotion includes the prayer of the rosary within the ninth and the month of May. The preparatory catechesis of the First Communion with Pope Francis insisted on the filial trust in Mary as Mother of the Church.
