Ntra. Ms. de la Consolación de Tehran (La Consolata)
The Cathedral of Consolata, completed in 1937 next to the Italian embassy, is the Latin Catholic temple of Tehran, dedicated to the Virgin under the title of Our Lady of Consolation. It is the seat of the Latin Archdiocese of Teheran-Ispahan, whose roots date back to 1629, with Pope Urban VIII.

- His advocation unites him to the famous shrine of the Consolata of Turin, whose feast of June 20 recalls the miracle of the blind of Briançon (1104).
- It is the cathedral of an archdiocese founded in 1629 by Urban VIII, one of the oldest Latin presences in Persia.
- His pastor, the Belgian Franciscan conventual Dominique Mathieu, was created Cardinal by Pope Francis in December 2024: the first Cardinal on Iranian soil.
