Faith after civil wars
Liberia suffered two devastating civil wars (1989- 1997 and 1999- 2003). The Catholics were persecuted and their churches destroyed. The Virgin Mary was the mother who comforted them in suffering.
After the wars, Catholics rebuilt their churches. The Virgin of Monrovia is the mother who guides you in the recovered peace.
