The image and the sanctuary
The temple is dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes and is one of the best known in Singapore for her Marian apvocation and her relationship with the community of Indian origin. The iconography includes the image of the Virgin of Lourdes with Saint Bernardite, as usual.

There is no canonical coronation or civil patronage. It is a canonical parish of the archdiocese, with Marian devotion fully approved.
Party and devotion
The titular feast is Our Lady of Lourdes, on February 11, celebrated with the solemn Eucharist and sometimes processions and blessing of the sick, in line with the spirituality of Lourdes. The Tamil faithful come especially to ask the intercession of the Virgin for health and family. The spoken favors belong to popular piety, without formal processes of recognized miracles.

The spirituality of Lourdes, linked to the apparitions of 1858 in which the Virgin appeared with a rosary, makes the prayer of the rosary a natural devotion in this parish. The faithful pray in their visits and celebrations, uniting trust in the Immaculate with prayer for the sick.
