The Virgin appeared to her multiple times between 1982 and 1983. He asked for prayer and penance. The Virgin showed her visions of a river of blood, anticipating genocide.
His death
Marie Claire died during the 1994 Rwanda genocide, fulfilling the prophecy of the Virgin over the river of blood.
