In the markets of La Lagunilla and Tepito, the workers and sellers have an image of Guadalupe in their positions. Before they open, they pray that they will do well.
Tradition tells that the Virgin of Guadalupe protects workers from occupational accidents. The masons, electricians and mechanics carry a medal of the Virgin.
Every 12 December, the workers organize a procession through the streets of the center.
Guadalupe blesses the work of Mexican hands.
