In Guadalajara, the workers venerate the Virgin of St. John of the Lakes. Before you go to work, you are prayed a Hail Mary.
Tradition tells that the Virgin of St. John protects the workers from work accidents. The masons and electricians carry a medal of the Virgin.
Every 2 February, the workers organize a procession through the streets of Guadalajara.
St. John of the Lakes blesses the work of the Jalissian hands.
