In 1830, the Virgin appeared to Sister Catalina Labouré in Paris and asked him to coined a medal. When the medal arrived in Mexico, the faithful adopted it quickly.
Tradition tells that the Miracle Medal has healed sick, protected soldiers and turned to atheists. The Mexicans always take her with them.
In the Battle of Puebla (1862), the Mexican soldiers carrying the Medal were unharmed as the French fell.
The Miracle Medal is a shield against evil. Those who carry her, the Virgin protects them.
