In 1623, a poor woman found an image of the Virgin in an abandoned church. He took her home, but the image always returned to the church.
The faithful understood that the Virgin wanted to stay in San Juan de los Lagos. Since then, millions of people go there every year to ask for their needs.
The image is small, of just 29 cm, but its power is immense. The faithful take him with exvotes of gratitude for miracles received.
