Marian devotion
Where is he?
The devotion of the Most Precious Blood linked to Barnabas Nwoye is located in Olo, state of Enugu, Nigeria. OpenStreetMap identifies Ogologo-Olo, in the Ezeagu area, with node 501332939; that locality is the map's cartographic reference. It does not appear as the exact GPS of a home, an altar or the inside place where the messages were received.
Documented history
The page of the World Apostolate of Precious Blood It is the beginning of the devotion associated with Barnabas Nwoye on July 5, 1995 in Olo. According to this institutional account of the apostolate, Nwoye was then a teenager and began to communicate experiences and messages related to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. The same source lists practices of prayer, reparation, intercession and call to holiness.
An independent documentary repertoire on unapproved apparitions and revelations collected Olo in 1996 and summarized the file as "without decision" with permission to publish messages. This reference does not amount to an approval of the supernatural origin. One printed or a publication authorisation, when recorded for a specific text, does not automatically convert a private experience into an approved apparition.
Relates and devotional tradition
The apostolate itself attributes to Jesus, Mary, the angels and the holy messages received by Nwoye during the development of devotion. These statements are preserved as attributed messages and as the history of the movement. The fact sheet does not present as evidence the supernatural intervention, the promises of protection and the alleged extraordinary fruits that flow in devotional materials.
Legend and limits of the source
The institutional source of the apostolate is a primary source to know how the movement counts its own origin, but it is not in itself a decree of the Church that declares supernatural experiences. That is why three planes are distinguished: the existence of movement, Catholic devotion to the Blood of Christ and the undocumented discernment of the assigned messages.
Ecclesial State
A statement of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith that approves as supernatural the set of messages associated with Olo is not recorded in the cross-sectional sources. The repertoire consulted speaks of the absence of decision and the authorization of the publication of messages. A documented devotion, without the approval of established supernatural. Adoration corresponds to God; Mary is venerated and asked to intercede before her Son.
Anecdotes and stories
The account of the apostolate retains the date of 5 July 1995 as a founding milestone and describes the subsequent expansion of prayers, groups and apostolates. The town of Olo allows to place the geographical origin that sources attribute to the movement, although it does not allow to convert each mentioned place into a canonical seat or a recognized sanctuary.
Prayer
Jesus, the Redeemer of the world, by your most precious Blood, receives our pleas and teach us to repair evil with a life of faith, charity and service. Holy Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, intercedes for those who pray in Olo and for those who seek to live the Gospel faithfully. Amen.
