The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Charlotte, North Carolina, was founded in 2005 by the Hispanic community. It is one of the most important shrines of the Spanish community in the southeast.
History of the sanctuary
The sanctuary was built to serve the growing Hispanic community of Charlotte. The image of the Virgin of Guadalupe was brought from Mexico.
Every December 12th, thousands of faithful celebrate the feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe with masses, processions and dances.
