The image and the sanctuary

The devotion is supranational, with pastoral center in the Apostolic Vicariate of North Arabia; its original sanctuary is in Kuwait and its great cathedral in Awali (Bahrain). In Qatar there is no proper sanctuary dedicated to this title; devotion is lived in the church of Our Lady of the Doha Rosary and in the mercy of the faithful.

Sponsorship and coronation

It is the advocation recognized by the Church as the patron of the apostolic vicariate that includes Catar. His canonical coronation took place in Kuwait in 1960 and his proclamation as a patron of the Vicariate of North Arabia in 2011. Own patronage or coronation in catari territory: not recorded.

Party and devotion

The party is held in mid-January in the vicariate. In Catar there is no local holiday date of its own with verifiable liturgical detail; devotion is linked to the Marian identity of the region. It works as a sign of spiritual identity for migrant Catholics of many nationalities, without documented local catari legend.

Link to the Rosary

The Rosary is the usual devotional channel of the Gulf faithful and is prayed in the Doha community, gathered around the church of Our Lady of the Rosary. The advocation of Our Lady of Arabia is accompanied by the daily Marian prayer. There are no specific practices of the Rosary of a catari sanctuary under this title.
