Our Lady of Hope
"La Toledana" · patron of Logroño
Logroño vents Our Lady of Hope, popularly called "La Toledana," patron of the city and even named Mayor; his devotion goes back to the medieval vote linked to the memory of the battle of Clavijo.

Origin and history
The devotion is linked with a medieval vow that forced an annual pilgrimage to the monastery of Saint Prudencio, where an image of the Virgin of Hope was venerated; the vote was fulfilled until 1837, when the monastery disappeared. The original size then passed to the parish church of Clavijo, where it is preserved. By the force of devotion, the people of Logroño ordered to make a similar image between the end of the 12th and the beginning of the 14th century, which is the one that is now venerated in the church of Santiago el Real, the oldest in the city. The fellowship of the Virgin of Hope, officially created in 1612, is the oldest in Logroño.
The tradition links this advocation to the battle of Clavijo (year 884), in which the city would have been placed under its protection, since then invoking it as "protector" against enemies; a story of medieval legendary historiography. In 1948, Pope Pius XII officially declared her patron of Logroño, consolidating a very previous patronage, and in 1976 the municipal corporation appointed her as Mayor of the city, giving her the command staff in 1977. She is a Virgin of Hope "not gestant," that is, not represented encinta, unlike other claims of the same title. His main party is held on December 18.
Canonical coronation: not found in the sources.
