The image and the sanctuary

The Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in Port-au-Prince celebrates the novena of the Miraculous Medal annually, with an exhibition of the image or medallion of the Virgin, according to Vincentian bulletins. There is no single large national shrine dedicated to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, but rather numerous Vincentian chapels and parishes.

Sponsorship and coronation

There is no record of formal patronage or canonical coronation.

Party and devotion

It is celebrated on November 27, the feast of the Miraculous Medal, with a novena. After the 2010 earthquake, Vincentian chronicles recount that many faithful kept their Miraculous Medal as the only possession saved from the ruins, interpreting it as a sign of the Virgin's protection.

Link to the Rosary

Vincentian spirituality unites devotion to the Miraculous Medal with the recitation of the Rosary and consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, invoked as help to the poorest.
