In 1926, the image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Journey was crowned canonically, being one of the earliest coronations of Philippine asvocations.
The pilgrimage of Antipolo
The image of the Virgin of Antipolo was brought from Mexico to the Philippines in the 17th century on board the Galeon of Manila. During the trip, the image mysteriously disappeared and was found in the glass of an antipolo tree, from which it takes its name.
