Our Lady of the Angels
Patrona de Getafe y del Cerro de los Angeles (Madrid) · pontifical coronation in 2002
In the Cerro de los Angeles, held as the geographical center of the peninsula, a hermitage guards Our Lady of the Angels - "Angelines" -, patron of Getafe and his diocese, with pontifical coronation since 2002.

Origin and history
The hermitage of the Cerro de los Angeles is linked to this advocation at least since the beginning of the 17th century: the first written references to the image - a wooden size - date from 1610. The Royal and illustrious Congregation of Our Lady of Angels has been held since 1817. The tradition states that after the conquest of Madrid by Alfonso VI, in the 11th century, a first hermitage was erected on the ancient atalaya del Cerro, considered a geometric center of Spain, although this dating belongs to the area of tradition. A legend tells that some shepherds found the image during a storm and that they returned at night to Cerro, which motivated the building of the hermitage there.
She is a patron of the city of Getafe, the diocese and the judicial party, and received pontifical coronation in 2002. His devotion is expressed in the "down" romanies in Ascension and "up" in the Trinity, between the hermitage and the cathedral, and the faithful call it "Angelines" with affection. At the parties the Rosary of the Aurora is held in procession through the streets of Getafe.
