Our Lady of Remedies is the patron of Ponteareas, and her devotion is strongly linked to local identity and to the summer patron parties, held from 5 to 8 September. The apvocation gives name to places and elements of the villa, such as the historic Puente de los Remedios, whose origin is linked to an old chapel dedicated to this apvocation.
