Marian devotion
Where is he?
The Pilgrimage Center of Our Lady Immaculate of Thác Mħis located on a hill at the foot of the Bà Rá mountain, in the area of Phámác Long, province of Bành Phňc, Vietnam. The presentation of the diocese of Ban Mê Thuğ t is approximately three kilometres east of the center of Thác Mħ. The point of the map is offered as a reference of the town of Phħc Long, not as the exact coordinates of the altar, of the statue or of each place mentioned by tradition.
Documented history
The history published by the diocese dates to the beginning of the center on December 8, 1960. On that day, Bishop Pedro María Phħm Ngħc Chi placed the statue and celebrated the inauguration of the Pilgrimage Center of Our Immaculate Lady of Thác Mħ. The headquarters was linked to the landscape of Bà Rá and to the river Đák R'lůp, whose course was later affected by the hydroelectric dam of Thác Mħ.
In 1991, when the diocese of Ban Mê Thuğ t took the attention of the Ecclesial District of Phħc Long, the diocesan pilgrimage program, chaired by the bishop in the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, resumed. The continuity of these celebrations makes it possible to speak of a documented pastoral history; it is not possible to attribute a supernatural approval to a story that does not have a decree of its own.
On May 25, 1995, the priest responsible for the district, Pablo VÄ Quğ c Ngħ, promoted restoration, planting and improvement of access and gardens. In 2004, the parish priest of Phħc Long, Juan Bautista Nguyņn Huy Bħc, raised the outer altar, the walls and the main door of the center. They are material interventions registered by the diocese and help to understand the current configuration of the place.
On September 1, 2006, the office of the bishopric of Ban Mê Thuğ t issued letter 12 / 06 / VT to raise the center to the diocesan Pilgrimage Center and entrust its attention to the parish priest of Phňc Long. Since the beginning of 2008, on the 13th of each month the parishes of the district are taken to attend the concelebrated mass of the groups of pilgrims. The diocese also notes annual pilgrimages on the third day of the lunar year and on August 15.
Tradition and devotion
The devotion of Thác Mħis expressed in the public veneration of the image, in the celebration of the liturgy and in the pilgrimage of the communities of the diocese. The research materials also describe a popular memory of protection and graces received. These experiences belong to the field of the testimonies and piety of the pilgrims as long as there is no ecclesial record that recognizes a concrete miracle.
The documented history of the centre is sufficient to explain its importance: an image placed in 1960, a diocesan resumption since 1991, restoration works and a formal elevation to diocesan center in 2006. It is not necessary to fill the gaps with dates of apparitions or with extraordinary accounts that the sources consulted do not prove.
Legend and limits of the record
There is no approved local apparition or a recognized miracle related to Thác Mț in the diocesan sources consulted. The existence of the centre, its masses and its pilgrimages alone do not amount to a judgment on the supernatural of any phenomenon. When a devotional narrative speaks of favors or protection, it must be read as a tradition or personal testimony, not as a proven historical fact.
Ecclesial State
Se consigna veneration _ permitted in the sense that the diocese maintains a Catholic pilgrimage centre, with documented liturgy and pastoral care. This label does not claim approval of an apparition or a miracle. Veneration is addressed to Mary as the Mother of Jesus and asked for her intercession; worship corresponds only to God.
Anecdotes and stories
The monthly organization of the Masses, with shifts from the district parishes since 2008, shows that the pilgrimage does not depend on an isolated visit. The succession of works is also significant: the restoration of 1995, the improvements of 2004 and the diocesan reorganization of 2006. Together, these data tell how a community retains a place of prayer and adapts it to receive the faithful.
The site under Bà Ra gives the centre a specific geographical identity. However, the map uses a location reference because the verifiable cartographic sources do not offer an unequivocal geometry of the Marian building. The reader must understand the point as a direction towards Phámphác Long and Thác Máfica, not as a monument measurement.
Prayer
Holy Mary, Mother of Jesus, accompanies those who pilgrim Thác Mħand those who seek comfort in their concerns. He pleads for the families of Phħc Long, for those who work on the roads and for those who suffer. Teach us to receive all grace with humility, to serve others and to always follow your Son. Amen.

Historical context and prudence
Thác Mț belongs to the recent history of the Vietnamese Catholic Church. Its center was born in the context of the great Marian images raised in the center and south of the country, but the diocesan documentation makes it possible to affirm above all the placement of the statue, the construction of the facilities and the continuity of the pilgrimage. The document retains this distinction between a verifiable institutional history and the religious interpretation that each pilgrim can make of his visit.
Letter 12 / 06 / VT is relevant because it explains the elevation of the center to the diocesan area and the pastoral responsibility entrusted to the parish priest of Phambia c Long. The existence of this administrative decision is not transformed here into an approval of apparitions. Similarly, the masses and celebrations of the Immaculate Conception show public veneration, but do not in themselves authenticate an extraordinary healing or phenomenon.
The mapping location has a deliberately limited accuracy. Nominatim's response identifies the scope of Phħc Long, while the diocesan source places the centre approximately to the east of the urban core. That's why it's used. locality y no verified_building: the map helps to find the documented area without promising an exact GPS of the sanctuary.
A pilgrimage of intercession
Those who arrive in Thác Mț can pray to a Marian image and participate in the liturgical life of the community. The Christian sense of this visit is not to worship the statue, but to ask for the intercession of Mary and to direct life to Jesus Christ. This perspective allows us to welcome with respect the devotion of the pilgrims and, at the same time, to maintain honesty about what the ecclesial sources have declared and what is not yet known.
