The Sanctuary of the Virgin of Miravalles is located in Soto de Aller, Asturias. Tourism Asturias presents it as a place of devotion for the Alderans and as a stop of pilgrims on the way to Santiago.
Where is he?
The chapel is near the cemetery of Soto de Aller, in the council of Aller. The coordinates of the map are those that publish Tourism Asturias for the sanctuary: 43.159832, -5.641257.
Documented history
The institutional source describes a baroque chapel with a unique ship, with altarpiece of José de la Meana. It also indicates that the venerated image is a Gothic stone size, from the XIV-XV centuries, and that the Virgin of Miravalles is the patron of Aller.
Tradition
According to the story collected by Turismo Asturias, the pilgrims who went to Santiago stopped at the camp before the construction of the chapel. Every 8 September is the feast of the Virgin of Miravalles, a local devotional tradition documented by that source.
Legend
A legend of apparition has not been incorporated that is not reflected in the related institutional source. The reference to pilgrimages and devotion is maintained as history and tradition, without turning it into a supernatural account.
Ecclesial State
The cross-cutting sources document the sanctuary, its veneration and its heritage. They do not contain a formal ecclesial pronunciation about a supernatural apparition; therefore, an ecclesial state label is not assigned.
Anecdotes and stories
The sanctuary also appears related to the local history of the War of Independence: Tourism Asturias indicates that the camp was the scene of the uprising of the Alderans against the French troops in 1808. The same source mentions the pontifical bulls of Clement XIII and Pius VI, without contributing their full texts here.
Prayer
Our Lady of Miravalles, Mother of God, pray for us and intercede to your Son for the families of Aller, for the pilgrims and for those who seek light and comfort.

Documentary extension
Tourism Asturias identifies the chapel as a baroque construction of the 18th century unique ship, designed by Francisco de la Riba. The altarpiece is attributed to the Asturian sculptor José de la Meana and the venerated image is a Gothic stone size of the XIV-XV centuries. The source also describes its polychrome and the humanized features of the face; they are data of artistic heritage and not an affirmation of the supernatural origin of devotion.
The tree camp appears in local history as a stop for pilgrims who were heading to Santiago before the chapel was raised. The tourist page also mentions bulls granted by Clemente XIII and Pius VI and recalls that the place was the scene of the uprising of the Alsterans against the French troops in 1808. These references are retained as information from the institutional source, without turning a divisional bulls or a historical episode into an apparition approval.
