Where is he?
The title of Our Lady of the Visit of Guiang is venerated in the national shrine of Guiang, in Gamu, Isabela province, in the Cagayan Valley region (Philippines). The point of the map represents the town of Guiang, because the mapping consultation of OpenStreetMap does not at this time offer a reliable geometry of the shrine building.
Documented history
The institutional tourist information of the province of Isabela presents the sanctuary as one of the pilgrimage places of the province and identifies it as the headquarters of the Virgin of the Visitation of Guiang. The same source documents that the image received the coronation on 26 May 1973, administered by the Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines, and that the Conference of Catholic Bishops of the Philippines declared the national sanctuary temple on 26 January 1986.
The growth of the pilgrimage led to the renewal of the temple to welcome a greater number of faithful. The provincial source notes that the sanctuary can receive up to 10,000 devotees, especially during the periods of greatest influx. He also reports that on 3 February 2023 Archbishop Charles Brown, Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines, presided over the mass and solemn dedication of the reconstructed national sanctuary.
Tradition and devotion
The title of the Visitation places devotion under the evangelical mystery of Mary's visit to Elizabeth. In Guiang it is a venerated Marian image and an active Catholic sanctuary. The sources tested for this document document the veneration, coronation and status of national sanctuary; they do not provide a file that allows a local apparition or a concrete miracle to be presented as approved.

Veneration allowed. The coronation of the image and the declaration of the temple as a national sanctuary document the ecclesial recognition of public veneration. This does not in itself amount to a statement on the supernatural of apparitions, fragrances, cures or other extraordinary accounts. This statement is not stated on the basis that it is not recorded in the verified sources.
Party and pilgrimage
The main party is held on July 2. The influx is intensified on that date and during other times of pilgrimage, including Lent. The reconstructed sanctuary continues to be a place of prayer and meeting for the faithful of Isabela and other parts of the Philippines.

Holy Mary, Mother of the Visitation, accompanies those who pilgrim Guiang. He presents to your Son the needs of the families, the sick and those who seek comfort; teach us to serve with joy, as you served Elizabeth, and pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
