The 12th century cathedral with fresh Marian in the city-museum of Suzdal.
The Cathedral of the Sleep (Ushemki) of Suzdal was built in 1148-1152. It is one of the oldest cathedrals in the region of Vladímir and contains marian frescoes from the 12th and 15th centuries.
The fresh Marian
The frescoes of the 15th century represent scenes of the life of the Virgin Mary: Nativity, Presentation in the Temple, Annunciation and Sleep. Some of the best examples of Russian medieval painting are considered.
