Where is he?
Amakye-Bare is located in the Ashanti region of Ghana, within the pastoral territory of the Archdiocese of Kumasi. The research of the Archdiocese and a chronicle of ACI Africa identify there the grotto of Our Lady of Fatima. For the map the reference of the Ashanti region obtained from OpenStreetMap is retained: there is no clear cartographic point of the Grotto enclosure in the sources consulted.
Documented history
The news source of ACI Africa, dated July 30, 2020, reports on the annual celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in a designated grotto of the Archdiocese of Kumasi. The same news recalls that the archdiocesan celebration of the previous year had been held in the Grotto of Our Lady of Fatima of Amakye-Bare. This documents the existence of the place of worship and its insertion into the pastoral life of the archdiocese.
The news also contains the announcement by Archbishop Gabriel Justice Anokye on the celebration of the Assumption in Barekurna Grotto and the invitation to the faithful to participate in the mass and in the service of the Grotto. The name "Amakye-Bare" is thus linked to a public Marian celebration of the local Church, without the source allowing itself to rebuild the date of foundation, the material history of the image or the exact antiquity of the compound.

The available research does not provide a local account of apparition, supernatural message or recognized miracle associated with this grotto. That is why there is no such statement.
