The image and the sanctuary

The hermitage of Our Lady of Allende is an elegant 17th-century baroque construction, reconstructed and expanded in the 18th century. The marriage, made up of Don José de Velasco Mena and Dona Josefa de Cáceres Latorre, built the house of an old house, completed in 1710, providing it for the support of two chaplains to attend the sanctuary.
