Origin and history
On the night of August 17, 2000, a very intense light sprang from the Coptic church of San Marcos de Assiut and many saw the Virgin among her towers, accompanied by light pigeons. The phenomenon lasted for months and was closely followed and confirmed by the Coptic Pope Shenouda III.
