In these places, the Rosary is often prayed as for the sick, for peace and for the needs of families, uniting the contemplation of the mysteries of Christ's life with confidence in Mary's maternal compassion. In a sanctuary like that of Besant Nagar, marked by the search for health, reconciliation and comfort by people of many backgrounds, the Rosary appears as a privileged way to accompany this devotion: it allows the faithful to put their sufferings and hopes in the hands of the Virginwhile the Gospel is meditated and the mercy of God is invoked through Mary, Health of the Sick.

Documented expansion: the shrine of Besant Nagar

Annai Velankanni of Besant Nagar is the same urban sanctuary of Chennai that already identifies this tab. The parish page of the Archdiocese of Madras- Mylapore includes Annai Vailankanni Shrine among its parishes and shrines. The site of the sanctuary also presents it as a place served by diocesan priests of that archdiocese. These sources confirm the present existence of the temple and its pastoral life, without the need to turn every element of Velankanni's tradition into a supernatural affirmation.

The difference between this site of Besant Nagar and the basilica of Annai Velankanni located in Velankanni, Tamil Nadu, which is another place must be maintained. They share the devotion and name of the Mother of Good Health, but the rule of this project requires respect for both sites when they are different. This sheet refers to the Shrine of Chennai and does not absorb or duplicate the sheet of Velankanni.

The devotion of Besant Nagar can be understood as a local presence of the Marian cult born in Velankanni. The source of the sanctuary refers to the ninth and the community celebration; the Archdiocesan page allows to place its pastoral belonging. There is no evidence of an independent apparition in Besant Nagar or a decree declaring a local phenomenon supernatural in the sources established for this extension. This is why the institutional history of the sanctuary, the devotional tradition and any extraordinary account are separated.

The tab retains its title, slug, father, status and previous metadata. This extension is only documentary and does not carry out the geolocation of M1. When we speak here of Mary's intercession it is made in the Christian sense: the Virgin is asked to pray for the faithful and lead them to Christ, neither worship nor divine autonomy is attributed to her.
