La devoción a Our Lady of Guadalupe in Halifax is linked to the arrival of Latin American immigrants in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth in recent decades. The Archdiocese explicitly mentions the Spanish pastoral and celebrates the feast of Guadalupe with solemn Mass and procession in Halifax. Party and devotion

The party is held 12 December, con Misa, procesión y elementos culturales latinos. Las crónicas pastorales destacan que la celebración de la Guadalupana reúne a fieles de varios países latinoamericanos y a canadienses, con ofrendas de flores y vestimenta típica; se subraya la integración cultural y el consuelo espiritual que la imagen ofrece a los recién llegados, vista como «Madre de los migrantes». No se describen milagros concretos.

Link to the Rosary

The prayer of the Rosary is a regular part of the vigil before the feast, in the framework of the ninth Guadalupana. No consta a specific Rosary fellowship linked to this image. The Guadalupana devotion thus joins, in Halifax, the prayer of the Holy Rosary of Latin American piety.
